Work as an eTherapist with MINDS in the UK
Unleash your creativity as a Minds UK eTherapist!
All our programs and services are 100% virtual which means:
- Work from home for every session
- Manage your own day / week
- No traffic jams or wasted personal time commuting
- Control your own workload with sessions offered at all times
- Create a week of between 10 to 38 hours each week
All that you need to perform the sessions are:
- Fluent spoken & written English
- Strong internet connection
- Laptop or PC
- An expected level of Gaming and IT experience
- Gaming console (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo switch)
- A GREAT friendly attitude and a desire to help others!
What does an eTherapist do?
Depending on which service the participants requires, our services are ran by a variety of professionals.
We refer to these as ‘eTherapists’.
Counselling (Game Therapy) sessions are ran a registered Gaming Therapist who is also a qualified and registered (BACP, UKCP or equivalent etc.) Counsellor / Psychotherapist. Ideal for those looking to improve mental health and work towards their goals.
Speech Therapy (Pathology) sessions are ran a Speech Therapist (Pathologist) and helps participants improve communication, language and understanding.
Occupational Therapy sessions are ran by an Occupational Therapist. This form of therapy helps improves daily living, independence and emotional well-being.
Supportive Gaming sessions are ran by Online Support Workers who are a trained and experienced gamer to an expert-level and has appropriate clearance to perform these type of therapeutic programs.
How to become a MINDS eTherapist
Mandatory pre-requisites in the UK
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS clearance
- Operate as an Independent Contractor (Self-employed)
- Be available for a minimum of 10 hours a week
- All applicants must have gaming experience in at least Minecraft, Fortnite or Roblox.
Role specific governing body accreditations/registrations
For professional roles, you must be registered with an appropriate governing body. This is for the following roles:
- Speech Therapist
- Occupational Therapist
- Counsellor / Psychotherapist (BACP, UKCP or equivalent etc.)
- Psychologist
This is the only role we have where no formal qualifications are required. However we require:
- Relevant disability work experience
- Acceptable level of game-skill to provide our services

Pay and opportunities
Simply invoice us weekly for the services provided! That simple.
Pay rates may differ per person due to counselling experience, gaming experience, accreditation level and added responsibilities within Minds UK.
Employment may in cases be offered to those who have both passed the probationary period as well as shown exceptional results in their online therapies.
Considering the nature of virtual support work and virtual counselling we believe we pay fair renumeration for the services provided inline with your relevant education, experience, time in similar roles, and accreditations.
